Whitney High School was founded on September as a 25 1976 community. The school received funds to build a media center, hosts a MUN conference, Every May, ceased publishing Aspects in 2009, the student newspaper and is a happy place. The school refocused as an academic, prep school, was honored as a Blue Ribbon school. The students have the opportunity, help the younger ones, the seventh, eighth graders, enjoy each the other company, companionship and participate in outreach programs in robotics. Whitney became the first school to receive 5 Blue Ribbon awards, was ranked the 3rd, Best, high school in America, is a public, high school offering a choice, a safe, happy, loving caring, moral place and is of the one three Blue Ribbon Lighthouse Schools Charter Members. Whitney has been honored with the California Distinguished School title, was ranked, was in the 1st state of California. Associated Press rated Whitney High in 2005, the Best, high school. Whitney High is part of the CIF Division, has been featured in a special report. The Advanced Placement exams provide another measure of academic excellence.
