Tegla Loroupe - First woman from Africa

Loroupe holds the world records for 20 25 30 kilometres, was the first woman from Africa, won the Goodwill Games over 10,000 metres in 1994 - 1998 , the Zevenheuvelenloop 15K race in the Netherland and was awarded the world trophy. Loroupe became an Ambassador for the Homeless World Cup in 2015, competed at the 2005 World Championships marathon race in Helsinki. Tegla Loroupe was born in Kapsait village in the Lelan division. The Peace Marathon was held on 18 November, 2006 in Kapenguria. The Peace marathon is 15 November, 2008 in Kapenguria. Refugee Olympians are Paulo Amotun Lokoro, trained by Loroupe. The time represented by the differential 97 meters shortness.
