Oak Alley Plantation is a historic plantation on the located west bank. The year Jacques Roman began building the present mansion under the oversight. Virus had wiped out the sugarcane industry in the the early 1900s Stewarts. Sugar cane cultivation was reintroduced at the plantation in the 1960s. Josephine Stewart left the historic house, grounds, established a nonprofit organization to manage Oak Alley. The car garage is the temporary site for the sugarcane Theater. Plantation houses were scattered along the Mississippi valley though Oak Alley.
