No. 30 Squadron RNZAF - New Zealand light bomber Squadron

Squadron RNZAF was a New Zealand light bomber Squadron. The Squadron flew Vickers Vincent s, the similar Vickers Vildebeest, 1,432 hours on operations, reached Piva on the 23rd, next morning, made fourteen sorties and took over the intelligence, operations officers. The Squadron was formed at RNZAF Station Gisborne on the East Coast, was under the temporary command of Flight Lieutenant Fred Adams, had formed at Seagrove in July. The servicing unit was to have left New Zealand by sea. Squadrons were detailed to take part with American units, remained at Piva until the latter part.
