Lena Baker was an African, American maid in Cuthbert, had a least four strikes. Baker was the only woman in Georgia, was executed 60 years, started working for Ernest Knight and was executed on 5 March, 1945. Parole Board granted Baker in 2005, a full, unconditional pardon.
