Barron Gorge National Park - National park in the Cairns Region

Barron Gorge National Park is a national park in the Cairns Region, is managed by the traditional owners. Barron Gorge is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The Kuranda Scenic Railway line passes through the park with a station. The cassowary is spotted in the southern section of the park. Cairns Western turn onto Arterial, right Stoney Creek Road. The river falls 250 m onto the narrow, coastal lowlands. The park is part of the traditional lands the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, a natural corridor for wildlife, extends from the coastal lowlands. The walk follows a service road with moderate grades, passes clear, limpid pools, small waterfalls. The track is with a unformed, rough, uneven surface of rocks.
